Sue is a dedicated dental hygienist who specializes in everything from pediatric dentistry to periodontal therapy. She has been a hygienist for over 32 years! Her passion for promoting optimal oral health shines through in her personalized care, using the latest hygiene techniques and technology to help patients achieve their brightest, healthiest smiles. Sue’s compassionate approach to dental care ensures that every patient feels at ease, whether it’s their first visit or a routine check-up.
When she’s not working, Sue loves spending time with her family, staying active with workouts, gardening, and indulging in her love for stained glass. She also enjoys taking full advantage of the great outdoors, whether hiking, biking, or just soaking up nature.

Rebecka Grish
Front Desk & Dental Assistant
Becka is one of the first friendly faces you’ll see when you walk into Radiant Smiles. Originally from Gaylord, Michigan, she brings a warm, welcoming presence to our front desk and is passionate about creating a positive experience for every patient.
Currently working as our front desk receptionist, Becka is also actively expanding her knowledge in dental assisting. She’s dedicated to learning and growing within the dental field, with future goals of becoming a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or transitioning into the role of a Dental Therapist.
Outside the office, Becka enjoys staying active and connected with nature-whether she’s playing pickleball, fishing, or spending time with her cat, Rusty.
Her enthusiasm and teamwork based approach make her a valued member of our office!
Cynthia Soderberg
Billing Coordinator
With over 20 years of experience in dentistry, Cyndi is an expert in billing, insurance coordination, and scheduling. She’s the go-to person for patients who have questions about their insurance or payment options, and she always takes the time to provide clear, helpful answers.
Cyndi has worked alongside Dr. Patel for several years and values being part of a compassionate, patient-centered team. When she’s not at the office, she enjoys spending her time crafting and baking for friends and family. Our team members appreciate the treats she brings in!

Emily Dunham
Dental Assistant
Emily brings 5+ years of experience to our dental team, assisting in a wide range of procedures from general dentistry to root canals, implants, dentures, and orthodontics. Originally from Michigan, Emily has worked alongside dentists in both Grand Rapids and Marquette.
She studied Health and Exercise Science at Grand Rapids Community College and is currently advancing her career by pursuing certification as a Registered Dental Assistant. Emily has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry, where she finds the greatest reward in helping patients feel confident in their smiles.
Outside the office, Emily enjoys traveling, making homemade candles, spending quality time with her friends, family, and her cat, Ursus.

Taylor Steffensen
Dental Assistant
Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Taylor transitioned into dentistry after being a dedicated stay-at-home mom—an experience that strengthened her empathy, patience, and ability to connect with people of all ages. She loves the variety that comes with working in a general practice and is currently expanding her knowledge in all aspects of dental assisting, from chairside procedures to patient care and everything in between.
Outside of the office, Taylor enjoys spending quality time with her family, including her wonderful kids and fur babies. Whether it's taking walks together or exploring new places, family time is her greatest joy.
